電話相談を
行っています。
Amid continuing price hikes, troubles over rent increases are occurring one after another, especially in urban areas, so lawyers and others are offering free telephone consultations in Tokyo.

This initiative is being carried out by lawyers from organizations that handle legal consultations for people living in rental properties, and they are accepting consultations by phone.
このなかで「
借地代をいきなり
2倍に
引き
上げると
言われ、
どうすれば
よいか」とか「
値上げを
拒否したら、
賃貸契約を
解除されるのか」などといった
相談が
寄せられました。
Among these, there were consultations such as, I was suddenly told that the land rent would be doubled—what should I do? and If I refuse the rent increase, will my lease contract be terminated?

貸主に

幅の
根拠などを
聞いて、
話し
合ってほしい」などとアドバイスしていました。
In response, the lawyer advised, Ask the lender about the basis for the rent increase and try to discuss it with them.

借地代が
値上げされる
ケースが
相次いでいて、
中には
3倍の
引き
上げを
求められるなど、
大幅な
値上げを
通告される
事例も
あるということです。
According to the organization, there have been a series of cases where rents for rental properties and land lease fees are being raised, mainly in urban areas such as the Tokyo metropolitan area, due to the sharp rise in real estate prices. In some cases, tenants have been notified of significant increases, such as being asked to pay three times the previous amount.

Mr. Kazutoshi Taneda, a lawyer from the Tokyo Federation of Land and House Leaseholders Unions, said, With rising prices, I think landlords are in a situation where its easier for them to ask for rent increases.

断ることも

The tenant often accepts the amount proposed by the landlord, but any rent increase requires mutual agreement and can be refused.
