Governor Ueda once again expressed to reporters his intention to consider additional interest rate hikes in response to improvements in economic and price conditions.
日銀の植田総裁は、3日正午前、総理大臣官邸を訪れ、およそ1時間にわたって石破総理大臣と会談しました。
Bank of Japan Governor Ueda visited the Prime Ministers Office shortly before noon on the 3rd and held talks with Prime Minister Ishiba for about an hour.
石破総理大臣との会談はことし2月以来、3回目です。
This is the third meeting with Prime Minister Ishiba since February this year.
会談のあと植田総裁は記者団の取材に応じ、今回の会談は定例の意見交換だと説明したうえで「経済・物価の情勢や市場の動向などについて意見交換した。
After the meeting, Governor Ueda responded to questions from reporters, explaining that this meeting was a regular exchange of opinions and stating, We exchanged views on the state of the economy, prices, and market trends.

また、国内の政治情勢が為替市場に与える影響について話し合われたのか問われたのに対して「為替相場はファンダメンタルズ＝経済情勢に沿って安定的に推移するのが望ましいと考えている。

そのうえで追加の利上げに対する考え方を問われると「経済・物価の見通しが実現していくとすれば、経済・物価情勢の改善に応じて利上げをするスタンスに変わりはない。
