行うことがわかりました。
It has been revealed that, in order to strengthen the defense system in the southwestern region, the Ministry of Defense will conduct surveys for the development of new facilities on four islands in Kagoshima and Okinawa Prefectures.

防衛省は鹿児島県から沖縄県にかけての南西地域の島しょ部で、新たに土地を取得して自衛隊の訓練や物資の補給に関連する施設を整備する計画で、候補地の選定に向けた調査費を今年度の予算に計上しています。
The Ministry of Defense has included funds in this years budget for surveys to select candidate sites, as part of a plan to acquire new land and develop facilities related to Self-Defense Forces training and supply of materials in the island areas of the southwestern region, from Kagoshima Prefecture to Okinawa Prefecture.
この調査を鹿児島県の

沖縄県の
▽宮古島
▽石垣島
▽与那国島を対象に行うことがわかりました。
It has been revealed that this survey will be conducted on Amami Oshima in Kagoshima Prefecture, as well as Miyako Island, Ishigaki Island, and Yonaguni Island in Okinawa Prefecture.
防衛省は4つの島を中心に調査を行い、場合によっては別の地域も調査対象とする可能性があるとしています。
The Ministry of Defense is conducting investigations focusing on four islands, and says that depending on the situation, other areas may also be included in the survey.
調査では対象となる土地の地形や利用計画、法規制などについての関連資料を集め、施設を整備する場所を検討するとしています。
In the survey, relevant materials regarding the topography of the land in question, development plans, and legal regulations will be collected, and the location for facility development will be considered.
関係者によりますと、訓練場のほかヘリコプターの離着陸場や弾薬庫、補給倉庫の整備が検討されているということです。
According to those involved, in addition to the training grounds, the development of helicopter landing and takeoff pads, ammunition depots, and supply warehouses is also being considered.
今回、調査が行われる4島では2016年からおととしにかけて、陸上自衛隊の駐屯地が相次いで新設され、その後、部隊の追加配備も行われていて、今回の計画に伴って防衛関連施設の拡張がさらに進む見込みです。
