来年4月から始まる自転車の交通違反に対する「青切符」による取締では
▽携帯電話を使用しながら運転する、いわゆる「ながら運転」が1万2000円
▽信号無視が6000円などの反則金の納付が通告されます。
Starting in April next year, under the new blue ticket enforcement for bicycle traffic violations, fines will be issued such as: 12,000 yen for so-called distracted riding while using a mobile phone, and 6,000 yen for running a red light.
4日、新宿区の交差点付近では警察官20人が自転車の利用者にチラシを配って新たな取締について周知し、「信号を守ってください」などと呼びかけました。

また、高齢者が車道を自転車で走っている際に交通事故に遭うケースもあることから、原則として自転車は車道を通行するルールですが13歳未満や70歳以上の人などは歩道も通行できることなどを伝えていました。

警視庁によりますと、去年、都内で自転車に乗っている時に交通事故で死亡した人は25人でこのうち20人は信号無視などの交通違反をしていたということです。

警視庁交通総務課の工藤忠雄管理官は「信号無視や一時停止などの基本的な交通ルールを守って正しく安全に自転車に乗ってほしい」と話していました。
