The Dodgers of Major League Baseball announced that Shohei Ohtani, due to feeling unwell, will not be the starting pitcher as originally scheduled for the game against the Pirates on the 3rd, and will instead play as the leadoff designated hitter.
ドジャースは3日、相手の本拠地ピッツバーグで行われるパイレーツ戦を前に先発メンバーを発表し、中6日での先発登板が予定されていた大谷選手が先発ピッチャーから外れ、1番・指名打者での出場となりました。
On the 3rd, before their game against the Pirates at the opponents home stadium in Pittsburgh, the Dodgers announced their starting lineup. Ohtani, who was scheduled to start as a pitcher on six days rest, was removed from the starting pitcher position and will instead play as the leadoff designated hitter.
ロバーツ監督は試合前の取材で、大谷選手が登板を回避した理由について「前日から体調が悪く、キャッチボールも気分がすぐれずに途中で切り上げた。
Manager Roberts explained before the game that the reason Ohtani skipped pitching was because he had been feeling unwell since the previous day, and even during catch, he didn’t feel good and had to stop partway through.

せきや鼻づまりなどの症状があり、チーム内には大谷選手以外にも体調がすぐれない選手がいるということです。

ロバーツ監督は「本人に打てるかと聞いたら『打てる』という返事だったので、打者では出場する」と話した上で、大谷選手の次回の登板は5日から始まるオリオールズ3連戦を予定していることを明らかにしました。
Manager Roberts said, When I asked him if he could hit, he answered, I can, so he will play as a batter. He also revealed that Ohtanis next pitching appearance is scheduled for the three-game series against the Orioles starting on the 5th.
大谷選手はことし6月に2シーズンぶりに投打の二刀流として復帰し、8月27日の前回登板では初めて5回を投げて1失点と好投し、復帰後初勝利">勝利をあげていました。
Shohei Ohtani returned as a two-way player for the first time in two seasons this June, and in his previous start on August 27, he pitched five innings for the first time, allowing only one run and pitching well, earning his first win since his return.
3日の試合には、大谷選手に代わって、ここまで5勝をあげているシーアン投手が先発します。
