吉行和子さんが
今月2日、
肺炎のため
亡くなりました。
Actor and essayist Kazuko Yoshiyuki, who was active in many movies, TV dramas, and stage performances including NHKs morning drama series, passed away from pneumonia on the 2nd of this month.
でした。
吉行さんは、東京出身で高校在学中に劇団民藝の研究生となり、舞台「アンネの日記」で俳優としてデビューしました。
Mr. Yoshiyuki, who is from Tokyo, became a trainee at the Mingei Theater Company while still in high school and made his debut as an actor in the stage play The Diary of Anne Frank.
数多くの映画やテレビドラマで活躍し、1978年の大島渚監督の映画「愛の亡霊」に主演したほか、民放のドラマ「3年B組金八先生」などにも出演しました。
He appeared in numerous movies and TV dramas, starred in Nagisa Oshimas 1978 film Empire of Passion, and also appeared in commercial TV dramas such as Kinpachi-sensei, 3rd Year Class B.
その後も、2013年から放送されたNHKの連続テレビ小説「ごちそうさん」では、主人公の祖母を演じ、近年は年齢を重ねた役で存在感を見せていました。
After that, in the NHK morning drama series Gochisousan, which aired from 2013, she played the protagonists grandmother and, in recent years, continued to make her presence felt in roles that reflected her advancing age.
吉行さんは、エッセイストとしても活躍し、父の吉行エイスケさん、兄の吉行淳之介さんはいずれも作家で、妹が詩人の吉行理恵さんと文筆一家として知られました。
Yoshiyuki was also active as an essayist, and was known as part of a literary family: her father Eisuke Yoshiyuki and her older brother Junnosuke Yoshiyuki were both writers, and her younger sister Rie Yoshiyuki was a poet.
また、美容師だった母親のあぐりさんは、1997年に放送されたNHKの連続テレビ小説「あぐり」のモデルで、この作品に吉行さんも出演して話題になりました。
Also, Aguri, her mother who was a hairdresser, was the model for the 1997 NHK morning drama series Aguri, and Yoshiyuki herself appeared in the show, which became a hot topic.
所属事務所によりますと吉行さんは、今月2日、肺炎のため亡くなったということです。
According to her agency, Ms. Yoshiyuki passed away from pneumonia on the 2nd of this month.
90歳でした。
