牧之原市で
竜巻が
発生する
など、
突風による
被害が
相次ぎました。
Due to the approach of the typhoon on the 5th of this month, there were a series of damages caused by gusty winds in Shizuoka Prefecture, including a tornado that occurred in Makinohara City.

小中学校が
9日から
再開し、
子どもたちが
元気に
登校しました。
The elementary and junior high schools that had been temporarily closed reopened on the 9th, and the children cheerfully went to school.
牧之原市にある▽細江小学校▽坂部小学校▽榛原中学校の3校は、竜巻による停電などの影響で8日臨時休校しましたが、9日から再開しました。
The three schools in Makinohara City—Hosoe Elementary School, Sakabe Elementary School, and Haibara Junior High School—were temporarily closed on the 8th due to power outages caused by a tornado, but they reopened on the 9th.
このうち複数の木が倒れるなどの被害があった細江小学校では、子どもたちが教職員に見守られながら元気に登校していました。
At Hosoe Elementary School, where several trees had fallen and other damage had occurred, children were cheerfully coming to school under the watchful eyes of the teachers and staff.
6年生の教室では先生が子どもたちに「みんなとまた会えてよかったです。
In the sixth-grade classroom, the teacher said to the children, Im glad to see you all again.
つらいこともあると

生活しましょう」と
呼びかけていました。
I think there will be tough times too, but when the sixth graders do their best, the whole school gets energized, so lets enjoy our school life, they called out.
竜巻の被害の影響で給食が提供できず、欠席の児童も多いことから9日の授業は午前中までとなっていて、気分転換してもらおうとかるた大会が行われました。
Due to the impact of tornado damage, school lunches couldnt be provided and many students were absent, so classes on the 9th were held only in the morning. To help everyone refresh, a karuta tournament was held.
子どもたちは校内放送で読み上げられたことわざを聞きながら、絵札を取るなどして楽しんでいました。
The children enjoyed themselves by, for example, taking picture cards while listening to proverbs read aloud over the school broadcast.
6年生の女子児童は、「久しぶりに友達に会えてうれしかったです。
A sixth-grade girl said, I was happy to see my friends again after a long time.

話していました。
Its a difficult time, but I hope we can all get through this together, they said.
