お年寄と小学生がサッカー交流 91歳のゴールキーパーも
岐阜県各務原市では80歳以上のお年寄と小学生が、サッカーを通して交流しました。
Elderly people and elementary school students play soccer together – even a 91-year-old goalkeeper! In Kakamigahara City, Gifu Prefecture, people over 80 and elementary school students interacted through soccer.
このサッカー大会は、岐阜県内のお年寄で作るサッカーチームの関係者が、生涯現役を目指す姿を見てもらおうと去年から始め、岐阜県と愛知県の80歳から91歳までの男性と小学生のあわせて40人ほどが、4つのチームに分かれて対戦しました。
This soccer tournament was started last year so that people could see elderly soccer team members in Gifu Prefecture aiming to stay active for life. About 40 men aged 80 to 91 from Gifu and Aichi Prefectures, together with elementary school students, were divided into four teams and played against each other.
1試合の時間はお年寄の体力を考慮して15分で行われ、攻め込む子どもたちに対して、お年寄たちも負けじと走ったり、若い頃に培った足技でボールを奪ったりして、年齢差を超えてプレーを楽しんでいました。
The duration of each game was set to 15 minutes, taking into account the physical abilities of the elderly participants. Despite the children’s vigorous attacks, the elderly also ran energetically and used the footwork they had developed in their youth to steal the ball, enjoying the game together across generations.
出場した中で最高齢のゴールキーパーの守屋秀夫さん（91歳）は、体を張って子どもたちの鋭いシュートを止めていました。
Among the participants, the oldest goalkeeper, Hideo Moriya 91 years old, bravely blocked the childrens sharp shots with his body.
守屋さんは「サッカーは、認知症の防止にもつながるし、健康にも気遣うようになるので続けていきたい」と話していました。
Mr. Moriya said, Soccer helps prevent dementia and makes me pay more attention to my health, so I want to keep playing.
大会を企画した亀山和秀さん（84歳）は「小学生のサッカーレベルが上がっているのに驚くと共に、孫よりも下の子どもたちとサッカーを楽しめるのはとてもいい経験です」と話していました。
Kazuhide Kameyama 84, who organized the tournament, said, Im surprised at how much the soccer level of elementary school students has improved, and its a great experience to be able to enjoy soccer with kids even younger than my grandchildren.
祖父母と子どもが一緒に スキンケアやダンス楽しむ
山梨県南アルプス市では、子どもと祖父母が一緒にスキンケアなどを楽しむイベントが開かれました。
Grandparents and children enjoy skincare and dancing together. In Minami-Alps City, Yamanashi Prefecture, an event was held where children and their grandparents enjoyed activities like skincare together.
このイベントは地域活性化を目的に、南アルプス市と、市内への工場進出が決まっている化粧品メーカーが3年前から開いているもので、3歳から8歳までの子どもと、その祖父母、あわせて60人が参加しました。
This event, aimed at revitalizing the local community, has been organized for the past three years by Minami-Alps City and a cosmetics manufacturer that has decided to open a factory in the city. A total of 60 people participated, including children aged 3 to 8 and their grandparents.
参加者は化粧品メーカーの担当者から保湿するときには優しく肌に保湿剤をなじませることなどをクイズやスライドを通じて学んでいました。
Participants learned through quizzes and slides from representatives of a cosmetics manufacturer that when moisturizing, it is important to gently apply the moisturizer to the skin.
このあと、子どもたちと祖父母は、新生児から使える保湿剤を互いの手や腕に塗り合って保湿をしたり、一緒にダンスをしたりしながら、楽しそうな表情を浮かべていました。
After this, the children and their grandparents smiled happily as they applied moisturizer safe for newborns to each others hands and arms and danced together.
7歳の男の子は「保湿剤を塗るのが楽しかった」と話し、祖母で69歳の女性は「敬老の日のいい記念になりました」と話していました。
The 7-year-old boy said, I had fun applying the moisturizer, and his 69-year-old grandmother said, It became a nice memory for Respect for the Aged Day.
化粧品メーカーの広報課の佐藤仁美さんは「来年、工場が南アルプス市で稼働するので、地域の皆さまと市を盛り上げたいです」と話していました。

温泉施設で湯船に小学生から感謝のメッセージ
松山市の温泉施設では、小学生たちがお年寄をいたわるメッセージなどを書き込んだヒノキの板を湯船に浮かべる催しが行われました。

松山市の温泉施設では敬老の日にあわせて男湯と女湯の湯船に小学生からのメッセージが書かれた直径9センチほどのヒノキの板、あわせて100枚を浮かべる催しを行っています。
At a hot spring facility in Matsuyama City, an event is being held for Respect for the Aged Day where about 100 cypress boards, each about 9 centimeters in diameter and featuring messages from elementary school students, are floated in both the mens and womens baths.
このうち、男湯の露天風呂には、「ずっと元気でね」とか「いつもお疲れ様です」などといったお年寄へのいたわりや感謝などのメッセージの板が浮かび、入浴した人たちは一つ一つ手に取ってメッセージを読み、爽やかなヒノキの香りとともに日頃の疲れをいやしていました。

愛媛県西条市から訪れた75歳の男性は「『元気でいてね』とか『頑張ってね』など印象に残ることばがたくさんあり、元気が出ました」と話していました。
A 75-year-old man who visited from Saijo City, Ehime Prefecture, said, There were many memorable words like Stay healthy and Do your best, which gave me energy.
温泉施設の合田慎マネージャーは「子どもたちからのメッセージを読んでもらい身も心も温まってほしい」と話していました。
Manager Shin Goda of the hot spring facility said, I hope people will read the messages from the children and feel warmed both in body and spirit.
長寿の動物たちにプレゼント 推定62歳のチンパンジーも
高知市の動物園では動物たちの長寿を祝おうと、好物の肉や果物などをプレゼントする催しが行われました。
