At the United Nations Security Council, Ukrainian President Zelensky criticized China for supporting Russias invasion of Ukraine, stating, Putin cant do anything without China.
これに対し中国側は「危機の発生当初から客観的かつ公平な立場を維持してきた」などと反論しました。
In response, the Chinese side countered by saying, We have maintained an objective and fair stance since the beginning of the crisis.
国連総会での一般討論演説のためニューヨークを訪れているゼレンスキー大統領は23日、ウクライナ情勢についての安全保障理事会の緊急会合に出席しました。
President Zelensky, who is visiting New York for the general debate at the United Nations General Assembly, attended an emergency meeting of the Security Council on the situation in Ukraine on the 23rd.
このなかでゼレンスキー大統領は「中国が本当にこの戦争を止めたいなら、モスクワに侵略を止めるよう強制できる。
In this, President Zelensky said, If China truly wants to stop this war, it can force Moscow to stop the invasion.

He warned Russia by saying, If necessary, we have options to impose further economic costs on Russia.
一方、中国の耿爽国連次席大使は「中国は危機の発生当初から客観的かつ公平な立場を維持し、停戦と敵対行為の停止を呼びかけてきた」と反論しました。
On the other hand, Chinas Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Geng Shuang, countered by saying, China has maintained an objective and impartial stance since the beginning of the crisis, and has called for a ceasefire and an end to hostilities.
また「危機を口実に一方的な制裁を乱用することは政治的な解決に寄与しないばかりか、むしろ新たな問題を生み出すもので断固として拒否されるべきだ」と述べ、経済制裁につながる動きもけん制しました。
He also stated, Not only does abusing unilateral sanctions under the pretext of a crisis fail to contribute to a political resolution, but it actually creates new problems and should be firmly rejected, thus cautioning against moves that could lead to economic sanctions.
