From May to August this year, more than 90,000 people nationwide were taken to the hospital by ambulance due to heatstroke. According to a summary by the Fire and Disaster Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, this is the second highest number for the same period since 2015, when comparable data became available.
総務省消防庁によりますと、ことし5月から8月までに熱中症で救急搬送された人は全国で9万744人に上り、同じ時期の数としては5月分の調査を始めた2015年以降、2番目に多くなりました。
According to the Fire and Disaster Management Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, from May to August this year, 90,744 people nationwide were taken to the hospital by ambulance due to heatstroke. This is the second highest number for this period since the survey for May began in 2015.
また、8月の搬送者の数は全国で3万1526人となっていて、
▽死亡したのは39人
▽入院が必要な「重症」や「中等症」があわせて1万1458人
▽「軽症」が1万9936人でした。
In August, the number of people transported nationwide was 31,526, with 39 deaths, 11,458 people classified as serious or moderate requiring hospitalization, and 19,936 people classified as mild.
年齢別では、
▽65歳以上の高齢者が1万7273人と、全体の半分以上を占めたほか
▽18歳以上65歳未満が1万1487人
▽7歳以上18歳未満が2641人
▽7歳未満が125人
となっています。
By age group, people aged 65 and over accounted for more than half of the total at 17,273, while those aged 18 to under 65 numbered 11,487, those aged 7 to under 18 numbered 2,641, and those under 7 numbered 125.
場所別では、
▽住居が1万1579人と最も多く、
次いで、
▽道路が6288人
▽屋外の競技場や駐車場などが4250人
▽工事現場や工場などが3472人
となっています。
By location, the most common was residences with 11,579 people, followed by roads with 6,288 people, outdoor venues such as stadiums and parking lots with 4,250 people, and construction sites or factories with 3,472 people.
都道府県別では、

総務省消防庁は「今週は暑さが戻るという予報があるほか、来月も全国的に平年より気温が高い見通しのため、引き続きこまめに水分を取るなど、熱中症の対策を心がけてほしい」としています。
