The mayor of Nanjo City in Okinawa Prefecture was found by a third-party committee to have committed sexual harassment against multiple female employees. 沖縄県南城市の古謝景春市長（70）は、複数の女性職員に対してキスをしたり、足を触ったりするなどのセクハラ行為があったと、市の第三者委員会から認定され、ことし5月にまとめられた報告書で、辞職を提言されました。
Mayor Keishun Koja of Nanjo City, Okinawa Prefecture age 70, was found by the city’s third-party committee to have committed sexual harassment, such as kissing and touching the legs of multiple female employees. In a report compiled this May, the committee recommended his resignation.
古謝市長は、認定されたセクハラ行為について、一部を除いて否定していて、辞職しない考えを示しています。
Mayor Koja denies most of the recognized acts of sexual harassment, except for some, and has indicated that he does not intend to resign.
その後、8月から9月にかけて、市長が女性職員に口止めするような発言をして、その音声データが残されていることがわかりました。

この女性職員によりますと、市長から10年余りにわたって、キスなどのセクハラ行為を受けたということで、市長とのやりと取りあと休職しているということです。
According to this female staff member, she was subjected to sexual harassment such as kisses by the mayor for more than ten years, and she is currently on leave after interactions with the mayor.
古謝市長は、NHKの取材に対して発言を認めたうえで、「口封じをしたつもりはない」と述べています。
