Japan: Price of household cooking oil increases by 20-30 yen per kilo due to unsavory weather.
日清オイリオグループは、4月1日納品分から家庭用の食用油を、1kgあたり20円以上値上げすると発表しました
The Nisshin Oillio Group Ltd. announced the price of household cooking oil will increase by at least 20 yen from 1 April.
This includes 23 products from Nisshin’s canola oil and salad oil range.
Due to poor weather conditions and high demand from China and other countries, there’s been a sudden price hike in raw materials such as soy beans and rapeseed.
Meanwhile, Showa Sangyo Co. Ltd. will raise the price of 6 products in their canola and salad oil range by at least 30 yen per kilo.
