Korea appeals to WTO for high tariffs on Japanese stainless steel

　韓国政府かんこくせいふはWTO（世界貿易機関せかいぼうえききかん）から日本産にほんさんステンレス棒鋼ぼうこうへの高たかい関税措置かんぜいそちの是正ぜせいを求もとめられたことを受うけ、これを不服ふふくとして上訴じょうそしました

The Korean government has appealed this after being asked by the WTO (World Trade Organization) to correct high tariff measures on Japanese stainless steel bars.

　韓国政府かんこくせいふは自動車じどうしゃなどに使つかう日本産にほんさんのステンレス製鋼材せいこうざいについて、不当廉売ふとうれんばいされているとして2004年ねんから約やく15％の関税かんぜいを上乗うわのせしています

The Korean government has added a tariff of about 15% on Japanese stainless steel materials used for automobiles, etc. since 2004, saying that they are being sold unfairly.

　この措置そちを巡めぐってWTOの小委員会しょういいんかいは去年きょねん11月がつ、国際貿易こくさいぼうえきのルールに反はんするとして韓国かんこくへ是正ぜせいを求もとめました

　これに対たいして韓国かんこくは小委員会しょういいんかいの判断はんだんには重大じゅうだいな誤あやまりがあるとして、今月こんげつ26日にちまでに二審にしんにあたる上級委員会じょうきゅういいんかいへ上訴じょうそする手続てつづきを取とりました

On the other hand, South Korea has taken steps to appeal to the second-instance senior committee by the 26th of this month, saying that the subcommittee’s decision is seriously incorrect.

　ただ、上級委員会じょうきゅういいんかいはアメリカのトランプ前政権ぜんせいけんの反対はんたいで任期切にんきぎれの委員いいんの補充ほじゅうができずに事実上機能じじつじょうきのうしておらず、最終的さいしゅうてきな判断はんだんには時間じかんがかかる見込みこみです
