Strong winds on the Sea of Japan side Beware of terrible snowstorms in northern Japan
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the wind and snow are getting stronger on the Sea of Japan side of the Hokuriku region from Hokkaido, and there are places where the snowstorm is terrible in northern Japan.
In the Kinki region, until the evening of the 29th, in the Hokuriku and Tohoku regions, and in Hokkaido, until the 30th, a very strong wind with a wind speed of 20 m or more is likely to blow.
The accumulated snow can be blown away by the wind and become a ”whiteout” where nothing can be seen.

The Japan Meteorological Agency says that there are places where it snows a lot.
The snow that falls in the 24 hours until the morning of the 30th is likely to be 70 cm in Hokuriku, Niigata and Gifu prefectures, and 60 cm in Hokkaido and Tohoku.
