Chairman Mori apologizes for saying, ”Meetings with many women take time.”
The JOC held a meeting on the 3rd with the goal of increasing the percentage of women among executives to 40% or more.
Regarding this goal, Mr. Mori, chairman of the Tokyo Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, said, ”A meeting with many women will take time.”
And, ”At the Japan Rugby Union, which I chaired, the number of female officers has increased, and the meeting time will be about twice as long as before.
Women are very competitive, so when one person speaks, I think I have to speak, and everyone says something. ”
全日本柔道連盟の溝口紀子評議員は、インターネットで「会議に時間がかかるのは、女性の問題ではなくて、会議の進め方が悪いからだと思います」と言いました
Noriko Mizoguchi, a councilor of the All Japan Judo Federation, said on the Internet, ”I think the reason why the meeting takes time is not because of women’s problems, but because of the poor way of proceeding.”
I apologize for saying something different from this idea. ”
