Fukui City sells oversized garbage from households that can still be used on the Mercari app.
On May 29th, the city put 20 items, including children’s unicycles and guitars, out of the collected bulky garbage on the app.
In Fukui City, citizens apply to dispose of bulky garbage about 30,000 times a year.
Because of this, the city plans to put more things on the app.
The money from the sale will be used to collect recyclable waste.
