世界的に今日11月19日を男性の側からジェンダー平等を促す「国際男性デー」とする動きが広がるなか、働く男性の半数以上が「男性であるがゆえの困難」を職場で経験していることが分かりました。
As the movement to mark November 19 as International Men's Day to promote gender equality is spreading worldwide, more than half of working men have experienced “difficulties of being men” at work.
求人サイト運営のインディードジャパンが20歳から59歳の働く男性を対象に行った調査では、性別による決めつけなどによって困難を経験した人が54.6％に上りました。　
In a survey conducted by job website operator Indeed Japan among working men aged 20 to 59, 54.6% of them said they were disadvantaged by gender-based assumptions.
そのうち79.7％が困難によって働き方やキャリアに影響を受けたと回答しています。
Of these, 79.7% said that those difficulties had affected their working style or career.
これらの傾向について、内閣府は「男性は仕事をして家計を支えるべき」「男性は泣いてはいけない」といった無意識の思い込みが社会に存在していると指摘しています。
Regarding these trends, the Cabinet Office pointed out that there are unconscious beliefs in society such as “men should work and support the family's income” and “men should not cry”.
