消費者庁は、二酸化塩素で「空間除菌」ができるとうたった商品に合理的な根拠がないとして、製造・販売をする2社に表示をやめるよう命じました。　
The Consumer Affairs Agency said there was no reasonable basis for products to suggest that chlorine dioxide can be used to "sterilize space", therefore asked the two production and sales companies to stop displaying.
大木製薬の「ウイルオフ」とCLO2Labの「オキサイダー」はテレビCMなどで「空間除菌」などとうたい、空間に浮遊するウイルスや菌が除去または除菌される効果があるかのような表示をしていました。　
Ohki Pharmaceutical's "Wiloff" and CLO2Lab's "Oxider" are said to be able to "sterilize space" on TV commercials, and displayed as if to remove or disinfect viruses and bacteria floating in space.
消費者庁によりますと、両社に求めた表示の裏付けでは、合理的な根拠を示していると認められませんでした。　
According to the Consumer Affairs Agency, evidence to provide a reasonable basis requested from both companies was not found.
消費者庁は、景品表示法違反にあたるとして表示の取りやめや再発防止を命じました。　
The Consumer Affairs Agency ordered the labeling to be removed and to prevent a recurrence of product labeling violations.
命令に対し、大木製薬は「こうした判断は遺憾。法的措置も視野に入れて、慎重に対応を検討する」というコメントを出しました。　
In response to the order, Ohki Pharmaceutical commented: "We regret about this decision. We will carefully consider how to resolve it, take legal action."
CLO2Labは「命令を真摯に受け止め速やかに対応する」としています。
“We take orders seriously and respond quickly,” says CLO2Lab.
