東京オリンピック・パラリンピックの公式文化プログラムの一つで、「東北復興」をテーマにした巨大操り人形が東京に到着しました。　
One of the official cultural shows Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic, giant doll with the theme "Tohoku Renaissance" has arrived in Tokyo.
新宿御苑に現れたのは高さ10メートルの巨大操り人形「モッコ」です。　
What appeared in Shinjuku Gyoen was a giant doll "Mocco" with a height of 10 meters.
東日本大震災からの復興をテーマにした東京大会の公式文化プログラムとして、東北を巡って人々の思いを集めながら東京を目指して移動してきました。　
This is an official Tokyo Olympic cultural program with the theme of recovering from the Great East Japan Earthquake, they gathered people's thoughts on Tohoku while moving to Tokyo.
モッコという名前はひょうきん者を意味する宮城県の方言「おだづもっこ」が由来だということです。　
The name Mokko is derived from the Miyagi dialect "Odazumokko", which means a humble person.
組織委員会の橋本会長はこのイベントによって「復興へと歩む被災地の姿を世界に発信し、支援をしてくれた人々に感謝を伝えていく」などとあいさつしました。
President Hashimoto of the Organizing Committee said about the event, "We will bring the image of the disaster-stricken area gradually recovering to the world, and express our thanks to everyone who has always supported us."
