アメリカのモデルナ社と新型コロナワクチン5000万回分の契約を新たに結んだことを田村厚生労働大臣が発表しました。　
Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Tamura announced that he had signed a new contract with Moderna of America for 50 million doses of the new corona vaccine.
来年の初頭以降に追加で供給を受ける契約です。　
It is a contract to receive additional supply after the beginning of next year.
モデルナのワクチンはこれまでに職域接種や自治体の集団接種の会場などで使われていて、すでに契約している5000万回分と合わせて国内への合計の供給量は1億回分となります。　
Moderna vaccine has been used in workplace immunization and mass vaccination in local governments, if 50 million doses in the signed contract are included, the total supply to Japan will be 100 million doses.
モデルナは変異ウイルスに対応したワクチンの開発も進めていて、開発に成功した場合にはそのワクチンの供給を受けられるということです。
