製薬大手のエーザイは、開発中のアルツハイマー治療薬について、日本でも承認申請したと発表しました。　
Pharmaceutical giant Eisai announced that it had filed for approval in Japan for an Alzheimer's drug under development. 　
エーザイがアメリカの医薬品大手「バイオジェン」と共同で開発しているアルツハイマー治療薬「レカネマブ」は、アルツハイマー病の原因とされるたんぱく質「アミロイドβ」の脳への蓄積を抑え、症状の進行を遅らせることができるということです。

軽度の患者が対象で、治験では、レカネマブを投与しなかったグループに比べて、症状の悪化が27％抑えられたということです。
Patients with mild disease were included in the trial, and the trial showed a 27% reduction in symptom worsening compared to the group that did not receive Recanemab.
今月6日には、アメリカのFDA＝食品医薬品局が「迅速承認」していて9日には、EMA＝欧州医薬品庁にも承認申請しています。

また、中国でも、当局へのデータ提出を始めているということです。
