東京電力は福島第一原発にある、いわゆる「燃料デブリ」を試験的に取り出すための装置を公開しました。　
Tokyo Electric Power Company has unveiled a device used to experimentally remove so-called "fuel debris" from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant.
福島第一原発では原子炉の中に溶け落ちた「燃料デブリ」の総量は1号機から3号機までで880トンもあります。　
At the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, the total amount of “fuel debris” melted into reactors from units 1 to 3 is 880 tons.
国と東電は当初、2号機の格納容器に元々あった貫通孔にロボットアームを通し、1グラムのデブリを試験的に取り出す目標でしたが、ロボットアームの不具合などで3年連続で延期となっています。　
The government and TEPCO initially aimed to insert a robotic arm through the original hole in Unit 2's container and remove 1 gram of debris on a trial basis, but the project was postponed for three consecutive years due to problems with the robot arm.
東電は10月開始を目指したデブリ取り出しに使う装置を公開しました。　
TEPCO has revealed the equipment it will use to remove the debris, which is expected to begin in October.
貫通孔から筒を伸ばして釣り竿のようにケーブルを下ろします。
They will pull the tube through the through hole and lower the cable like a fishing rod.
その先についた装置でデブリをつかむなどして回収する予定です。　
They plan to collect the debris by grabbing them with a device mounted on the front.
取り出した「燃料デブリ」は、茨城県内の研究施設に運ばれ、国が分析を行います。
The collected “fuel debris” will be transported to a research facility in Ibaraki Prefecture, where the national government will analyze it.
