ロシアへの経済制裁を強めているイギリスで、ロシア人資産家が保有する巨大ヨットが差し押さえられました。
イギリスの捜査当局は29日、ロンドン市内に停泊していたロシア人の資産家が保有するヨットを差し押さえたと発表しました。
全長58.5メートルの巨大ヨットは「無限のワインセラー」と呼ばれていて、なかにはプールもあり、3800万ポンド＝日本円でおよそ61億円の価値があるとされています。
船には地中海の島国マルタの国旗が掲げられていて、ロシアとの関わりを隠す狙いがあったとみられます。
イギリス国内でロシア人が所有するヨットを差し押さえたのは今回が初めてです。
シャップス運輸相は「差し押さえによりロシアの権力と富の象徴は、プーチン大統領やその友人たちへの明確な警告へと姿を変えた」と述べました。
