CNNなどによりますと、この女性はおととし1月、3週間にわたって腹痛や下痢に悩まされ、数カ月後には物忘れやうつ病の症状を訴えました。　
According to CNN and others, the woman suffered from abdominal pain and diarrhea for three weeks in January, followed by forgetfulness and depression after a few months.
その後、MRIで検査したところ脳に異常が発見されたため、手術が執り行われました。

専門家によりますと、今回摘出されたのは、ニシキヘビからよく見つかる寄生虫だということです。
