日本郵便は、無人で動くロボットを使って荷物を目的地に届ける実験を進めています。
The Japan Post is conducting an experiment to transport luggage to its destination by using a driverless robot.
今日の実験では、荷物を載せたロボットが電波信号を使ってエレベーターを呼び出して目的のフロアへ移動し、荷物を届ける様子が公開されました。
In today's experiments, people have published videos of unmanned robots carrying luggage using radio signals, calling elevators, moving to the destination floor and delivering luggage.
今後も実用化に向けた実験を続ける計画です。
Japan Post intends to continue testing to put the robot into practical use in the future.
人と人との接触が少ないため、感染症対策にもなると期待されています。
Because touching between people and other ones is less, it is expected to become a measure to deal with infectious diseases.
