68人が亡くなった新潟県中越地震から今日で19年です。
Today marked the 19th anniversary of the Niigata Prefecture Chuetsu earthquake that killed 68 people.
当時、親子3人が車ごと土砂崩れに巻き込まれ2歳の男の子が救出された現場には献花台が設置され、多くの人が訪れています。
At that time, a flower stand was set up at the scene where a 2-year-old boy was rescued after a family of three was trapped in a landslide, and many people visited.
小千谷市の土砂崩れ現場は震災メモリアルパークとなっていて、朝、献花台が設置されました。　
The landslide site in Ojiya City became an earthquake memorial park and a flower stand was set up in the morning.
2004年10月23日に発生した中越地震では最大震度7を観測し、68人が犠牲になりました。　
The Chuetsu earthquake that occurred on October 23, 2004 had a maximum seismic intensity of 7, killing 68 people.
「そのまま残されていて。現場に見に来ないと分からない」

「もう忘れられかけているんです。風化させてはいけないと思い来ました」　
“I almost forgot. I came here because I don't want to forget my memories."
当時の被災地では追悼式などが開かれ、地震が起きた午後5時56分に黙祷が捧げられます。
Memorial services were held in affected areas at the time, and a minute of silence was held at 5:56 p.m., the same day the earthquake occurred.
