タイで和菓子の魅力を広めようと職人が菓子作りを実演するイベントが開かれました。
To promote the appeal of Japanese sweets in Thailand, an event was held where artisans demonstrated how to make sweets.
職人技で和菓子をタイ風にアレンジです。

首都バンコクのショッピングモールで16日に開催されたイベントには、愛知や富山など日本各地から7人の和菓子職人が参加しました。　
The event was held on the 16th at a shopping mall in Bangkok and was attended by seven Japanese confectioners from all over Japan, including Aichi and Toyama.
職人らは客からのお題に答え、「象」や「蓮の花」といったタイをモチーフにした練り切りを即興で披露しました。　
Craftsmen answered customers' questions and spontaneously created nerikiri with Thai motifs such as "elephant" and "lotus".
「プロの技術ですね。なんて簡単そうに作るのかしら」

「和菓子に初めて触れる方もいると思うので、和菓子の楽しさとか奥行きみたいなものを少しでも感じていただけるとうれしいです」

イベントでは職人が目の前で作った和菓子を購入することができ、タイの人たちはその技術を撮影するなど目でも和菓子を楽しんでいました。
At the event, you can buy Japanese sweets made right before your eyes by artisans, and Thais get to enjoy Japanese sweets firsthand, including taking photos of the techniques used.
