宮内庁は来月23日の天皇誕生日の一般参賀を行わないと発表しました。　
The Imperial Japanese internal affairs agency announced that the joint gathering on the Emperor's birthday, 23rd next month, would not be held.
寒い時期に多くの人が並んで密集するのを避けるためとしています。　
This decision is intended to avoid many people crowding together in cold weather.
一般参賀は例年、新年と天皇誕生日の2回行われますが、新型コロナウイルスの感染が拡大したことから去年の新年を最後に3回続けて見送られています。　
The joint gathering is held twice a year, on the New Year and the Emperor's birthday, but due to the spread of the new strain corona virus, the event was continously delayed three times since New Year's Eve last year.
去年の新年の一般参賀には一日で7万人が皇居に集まりました。　
70,000 people gathered at the Palace in 1 day to attend the joint gathering in the New Year celebration last year.
皇族方や総理大臣などからお祝いを受けられる皇居内での行事についてはどのような形で実施できるか検討中だということです。
They are also considering whether the meeting could be held as an event within the Royal Palace to receive wishes from the Royal family and the Prime Minister or not.
