過去と現代、未来の着物を着た女性が街を練り歩くイベントが宇都宮市で行われました。　
An event held in Utsunomiya City, where women wearing kimonos from the past, present, and future parade throughout the city.
「花魁道中」ならぬ「宮魁道中」と名付けられたこのイベントは、着物を着る機会を提供して後世に着物文化を伝えていこうと宇都宮市内の中古着物販売店が企画したものです。　
This event, named "Miyakai Dochu" rather than "Oiran Dochu", was planned by an old kimono shop in Utsunomiya City to provide kimono-wearing opportunities and pass on kimono culture to future generations.
今回のテーマは「往古来今」。
This year's theme is "Then and Now".
女性たちが着ているのは現代の振袖だけでなく、100年以上前の花魁を再現した着物や100年後の着物の着こなしを表現した創作着物です。　
The women don not only wear modern furisode kimonos, but also kimonos that recreate styles worn by courtesans over 100 years ago, as well as creative kimonos that show how kimonos would be worn 100 years from now.
創作着物は、破れてしまった着物などを活用して市内の専門学校の学生が制作したということです。　
The creative kimonos were made by students of a technical college in the city, utilizing torn kimonos and other materials.
艶やかな着物姿の女性約60人が通りを練り歩くと、買い物客などが足を止めてカメラを向けていました。
As about 60 women in glamorous kimonos paraded through the streets, shoppers and others stopped and pointed cameras at them.
