中東のUAE＝アラブ首長国連邦の大統領で、アブダビ首長国の首長でもあるハリファ氏が亡くなりました。
Khalifa, the president of the UAE, the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East, the head of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, passed away.
UAEの国営通信社は、ハリファ・ビン・ザイド・アル・ナヒヤン大統領が13日に亡くなったことを伝えました。
The UAE state news agency reported that President Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan passed away on the 13th.
73歳でした。　
He died at 73 years old.
ハリファ氏は2004年に亡くなった父に代わり、首長と大統領に就任しましたが、2014年に脳卒中で倒れて以降は健康不安が伝えられていました。　
Khalifa replaced his father, who died in 2004, as leader and president, but announcements about his health concerns since he suffered a stroke in 2014 were made.
UAE大統領府は40日間、国全体が喪に服すこと、政府機関などの業務を3日間、停止することを発表しました。　
The office of the President of the UAE announced that the whole country would be in mourning for 40 days and activities such as government agencies would be suspended for 3 days.
30日以内に7つの首長国の代表が集まって、次の大統領が選出される予定ですが、アブダビのムハンマド皇太子が継ぐものとみられています。
Within 30 days, representatives of the seven emirates will meet to elect the next president, who is expected to succeed Crown Prince Muhammad of Abu Dhabi.
