たくさんの　うつくしい　おさかなが　すんで　いる
とても　すばらしい　パラダイスです。
そこに　にんぎょの王さまの　おしろが　ありました。
おきさきさまは、6人の　おひめさまをうんで　すぐに、しんで　しまいました。
おばあさまが、おひめさまたち　6人をおせわして　いました。
おばあさまは、おひめさまたちにいろいろな　せかいの　おはなし、
うみの　そとの　いろいろな　国の　おはなしなど、
よのなかの　ことをくわしく　おしえて　くださいました。
王さまの　おしろは、いろどりごりの　さんごと
きらきらひかる　しんじゅの　はいったかいで　できていました
6人の　おひめさまたちは、すくすく　せいちょうして　いきました。
とくに、すえの　おひめさま　にんぎょひめは、 6人の　中で　かくべつに　うつくしく、
アクアマリンのような　目を　して、
バラの　花びらの　ようなうつくしい　はだを　して　いました。
にんぎょひめは、みしらぬ　ふねが、てんぷくしたとき、
うみにしずんだ　うつくしい　少年のぞうをたいせつに　もって　いました。
上のおねえさまたちに　くらべると、
にんぎょひめは、ものおもいに　ふける　ことが　すきで、
ちじょうの　にんげんの　せかいのおはなしを　きくのが　だいすきでした。
15才に　なったら　うみの上にうかび　あがる　ことを　ゆるして　あげましょう！
ふねに　のっている人を　見たり、うみべの町を　見たり、みどりの森や
空とぶとり、まぶしい　たいよう、
とても　いいかおりのうつくしい　花たちも　見られるわ。
まず、一番上の　おねえさまが 15才に　なりました。
いろいろな　ものを　見て、かえって　きました。
おしろや、ぶどうえんの　おはなしなど、山ほど　おみやげばなしが　ありました。
おんがくに　耳をかたむけ、ことりの　さえずりを　きき、
バラいろに　ひかり　かがやく　あさ日や、
おうごんいろの　夕日を見たり　した　おはなしです。
にんぎょひめが　15才に　なるまで、あと　5年の　年月が　ひつようでした。
じぶんも　はやく　うみの　上の　せかいがみたくて　たまりません。
やがて、まちどおしかった 15才の　たんじょう日の日、
にんぎょひめは、うみの上に　あがって　いきました。
いままでの　おはなしで　きいたこともないすばらしいもの、
それは、ふねの　上の　王子さまでした。
ふねの　上では、王子さまの　たんじょう日をいわう　パーティーが　おこなわれて　いました。
とても　すばらしい　王子さま！なんて　すてきな　かた　なんでしょう！
そのときです。
きゅうに　空が　まっくらに　なり、大あらしが　きて、
王子さまの　のっている　ふねが、しずんで　しまいました。
にんぎょひめは、ひっしで、王子さまを　さがしました。
気を　うしなって　いた　王子が目を　さました　とき・・・・
にんぎょひめは、いわはの　かげにかくれて　いました。
そこへ、一人の　かわいいにんげんの　むすめが　あらわれました。
たすけて　くれて　ありがとう！きみは　いのちの　おんじんだ。
王子さまは、その　むすめの　目を見てほほえみ　かけました。
わたしが、王子さまを　たすけたのに・・・・
王子さまは、わたしに、気づきもしなかった!! なんて　ことでしょう・・・・。
にんぎょひめは、なきながら
うみのそこの　王さまの　おしろにかえって　いきましたが・・・・・・
いつも　おもって　いました・・・・。
また、王子さまに　おあいしたいわ・・・・
にんぎょひめは、ついに　がまん　できなくなり、
上の　おねえさまに　ことを　うちあけました。
さぁ、王子さまの　国へつれてって　あげましょう・・・・。
上の　おねえさまたちは、王子さまの　すむ　おしろの　ある
うみべへ　にんぎょひめをつれて　いって　やりました。
いとしの　王子さま・・・・。わたしも　にんげんに　なりたい・・。
上の　せかいにすむ　にんげんと
うみのそこに　すむ　わたくしたちのちがいを　はなして　あげましょう。
にんげんは　いのちが　つきるとえいえんの　たましいを　さずかるのです。
にんぎょは、300年も　生きて　いられるけど、
いのちがつきると　うみの中であわと　きえてしまう　うんめいなの・・・。
にんぎょひめは、まいにちの　ように　王子さまを　見る　ために、
しろの　バルコニーの　下まで　いきました。
おばあさまからおしえて　いただいた　にんげんに　なり、
えいえんの　たましいを　える　ほうほうは、王子さまと　えいえんの　あいを　ちかうことだわ!!
にんぎょひめは、にんげんに　なるけっしんを　して、
うみの　まじょの　いえに　むかいました。
おまえの　そうだんごとは、すべて　お見とおしだ。
さぁ、このくすりを　おのみ！のめば、ひれが　二本の　足に　なるよ。
