東京都は新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大を受け、来週24日に開催予定だった東京パラリンピックのPRイベントを中止すると発表しました。

中止となったのは東京・世田谷区の駒沢オリンピック公園で24日に開催予定だった「BEYOND　STUDIUM　2020」です。

このイベントは東京パラリンピックのPRの目的で行われ、競技体験のほか、タレントの武井壮さんや人気アイドルグループ「AKB48」のメンバーも参加する予定でした。

約2万人の来場者数が見込まれていましたが、新型コロナウイルスへの感染拡大が続いていることなどから都は感染拡大防止のため、イベントの中止を決定しました。

担当者は「都民の健康と安全を最優先し、考慮した結果だが、非常に残念」と話しています。
