「フェンタニル」は、がんの痛みをやわらげるなどの治療に使われる合成麻薬の鎮痛剤で、アメリカでは密造されたものが流入して違法に売買され、中毒や過剰摂取による死亡などが相次ぎ、社会問題となっています

警察庁によりますと、国内では、医療用の「フェンタニル」を治療の目的以外に使用するなど悪用したとして、警視庁や大阪などの10都道府県の警察が検挙した事件が、2000年からの25年間で17件あったということです
According to the National Police Agency, there have been 17 cases in the past 25 years, since 2000, in which police in 10 prefectures including the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and Osaka have made arrests for the misuse of medical fentanyl for purposes other than treatment.
医師が「フェンタニル」を自分で注射して使用したとして、麻薬取締法違反の疑いで検挙されたケースが多いほか、「フェンタニル」の成分が含まれた貼り薬を交際相手に貼って、薬物中毒にさせ死亡させた事件もあったということです
Doctors have often been arrested on suspicion of violating the Narcotics Control Act for injecting themselves with fentanyl, and there have also been cases where a person applied a fentanyl-containing patch to their partner, causing drug intoxication and resulting in death.
一方で、密輸されたケースはこれまでに確認されていないということで、警察庁は国内で乱用が拡大している実態は認められないとしています
