The armed clashes between the militaries of Thailand and Cambodia, which continue in the border area between the two countries, turned into an exchange of attacks again on the 25th, resulting in increasing damage to local residents.

Prime Minister Hun Manet of Cambodia claims that he accepted the ceasefire proposal, but the Thai side did not respond, and the situation shows no sign of calming down yet.

Since the 24th, armed clashes between the Thai and Cambodian militaries have continued in the border area disputed by both countries, and according to Thailands Ministry of Health and others, at least 14 local residents have been killed and more than 40 injured in attacks by Cambodia.

On the other hand, Cambodian media, citing officials, reported that one civilian has been killed and five others injured so far in attacks by the Thai military, and that damage to residents is increasing.

Regarding the call by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar, the chair of ASEAN Association of Southeast Asian Nations, for an immediate ceasefire between the two countries on the 24th, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet stated on his social media on the 25th, I have made it clear that I accept the ceasefire proposal.

The Thai side also agreed to the ceasefire proposal, but later withdrew it, he claimed.

On the other hand, the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on social media that it was willing to agree to and consider a ceasefire, but criticized Cambodia for continuing its attacks.

Furthermore, Acting Prime Minister Pumtham condemned in his speech on the 25th, saying, Cambodias attacks are targeting hospitals and residential areas, which is a serious violation of international law and humanitarian principles.

It appears that exchanges of attacks between both sides are continuing in various areas along the border, and there is still no prospect for the situation to calm down.
