推すことを
決めました
Ahead of the extraordinary Diet session to be convened on August 1 following the House of Councillors election, the Constitutional Democratic Party has decided to nominate former Secretary-General Tetsuro Fukuyama as the new Vice President of the House of Councillors.
参議院選挙を受けて8月1日に召集される臨時国会では、新しい参議院の議長や副議長が選出される予定で、与野党は、これまでに議長を第1党の自民党から、副議長を第2党の立憲民主党から、それぞれ選ぶことで合意しています
In the extraordinary Diet session to be convened on August 1 following the House of Councillors election, new president and vice president of the House of Councillors are scheduled to be elected. The ruling and opposition parties have agreed to select the president from the largest party, the Liberal Democratic Party, and the vice president from the second largest party, the Constitutional Democratic Party, as has been the practice so far.
臨時国会の召集を前に、立憲民主党は29日、国会内で参議院議員総会を開き、複数の出席者によりますと、執行部から、長浜参議院副議長の後任に、福山哲郎 元幹事長を推す案が示されたのに対し、異論は出されず、福山氏を推すことを決めました
Ahead of the extraordinary Diet session, the Constitutional Democratic Party held a general meeting of its House of Councillors members in the Diet building on the 29th. According to several attendees, the executive leadership proposed Tetsuro Fukuyama, former Secretary-General, as the successor to Deputy Speaker of the House of Councillors Nagahama. There were no objections, and it was decided to support Mr. Fukuyama.

一方、参議院議長について、自民党は、関口議長を再び推す方針で、いずれも臨時国会の召集日に開かれる参議院本会議で選出される見通しです
On the other hand, regarding the President of the House of Councillors, the Liberal Democratic Party plans to once again nominate President Sekiguchi, and both are expected to be elected at the plenary session of the House of Councillors to be held on the convocation day of the extraordinary Diet session.
