In response to their defeat in the House of Councillors election, the Liberal Democratic Party held the first meeting of the General Review Committee on the 31st to analyze the causes of the loss. 自民党の「参議院選挙総括委員会」の初会合には、委員長を務める森山幹事長や実務を担う木原選挙対策委員長など10人あまりが出席しました

冒頭、森山氏は「先の参議院選挙で、わが党は多くの国民から厳しい声をいただき、厳粛に受け止めなければならない

会合では、今後、党の地方組織や有識者、それに今回の選挙に立候補した議員などから聴き取りを行うことになりました
At the meeting, it was decided that hearings would be conducted with local party organizations, experts, and lawmakers who ran in the recent election.
そして、今回の選挙で打ち出した公約やSNSの活用を含む広報のあり方などについて党の部門ごとに検証した上で、8月中に報告書をまとめる方針を確認しました

一方、31日の会合では、「両院議員総会」を8月8日の午後に開催する予定であることが報告されました
