具体的には初乗り運賃は、
▽切符の場合、10円の値上げで160円に、
▽ICカードの場合は8円から9円の値上げで155円となります。
Specifically, the base fare will be raised to 160 yen for paper tickets an increase of 10 yen, and to 155 yen for IC cards an increase of 8 to 9 yen.
今回はすべてのエリアで値上げされますが、とくに山手線など東京圏の値上げ幅が大きくなっています。
This time, prices will be raised in all areas, but the increase is especially large in the Tokyo area, such as on the Yamanote Line.
例えば、東京・新宿間が
▽切符の場合、210円から260円に、
▽ICカードの場合、208円から253円に値上げされます。
For example, the fare between Tokyo and Shinjuku will be raised from 210 yen to 260 yen for tickets, and from 208 yen to 253 yen for IC cards.
定期券も
▽通勤定期が平均で12％、

地方や郊外の区間の通学定期は家計への負担を考慮して値上げせず、据え置きとなりました。

JR東日本の全面的な運賃値上げは、消費税の導入や税率引き上げを除いて、1987年の会社発足以来、初めてとなります。
JR East’s across-the-board fare increase, excluding the introduction and hikes of the consumption tax, will be the first since the company was established in 1987.
値上げの理由について会社では、安全やサービスの維持・向上には年間4000億円を超える投資が必要だが、物価高騰や労務費の上昇が続く中経営努力のみでは必要な資金を確保するのが困難だと説明しています。
Regarding the reason for the price increase, the company explains that while it requires an annual investment of over 400 billion yen to maintain and improve safety and services, it is difficult to secure the necessary funds through management efforts alone amid ongoing price hikes and rising labor costs.
JR東日本は「多くのお客さまにご負担をお願いすることになりますが、丁寧でわかりやすい情報提供に努めて参りますのでご理解をお願いします」とコメントしています。
