4日夜、横浜市のみなとみらい地区で開かれた花火大会で、海の上で花火を打ち上げる台船が炎上した火災では、台船の上で花火が暴発を続け、発生からおよそ15時間たった、5日午前11時すぎに鎮火が確認されました。
On the night of the 4th, during a fireworks festival held in the Minato Mirai area of Yokohama, a fire broke out when a barge used to launch fireworks on the sea caught fire. Fireworks continued to explode uncontrollably on the barge, but about 15 hours after the incident began, the fire was confirmed to be extinguished just after 11 a.m. on the 5th.
これまでの市の調べでコンピューターのプログラミングで制御していた花火の打ち上げについて、火災の初期段階で中止する操作を行ったものの、炎上した台船では停止せず、次々に引火したとみられています。

また、横浜市消防局によりますと、花火大会は平均風速が10メートルに達した場合は危険が予想され、中止することになっていましたが、消防が当日に風速を測ったところ、問題はなかったということです。

炎上した台船は、鎮火を待って5日、現場から「大黒ふ頭」の岸壁に移されました。
The barge that caught fire was moved from the site to the quay at Daikoku Pier five days after waiting for the fire to be extinguished.
海上保安部や消防などは6日から合同で台船の調査を行い、火災の原因を本格的に調べることにしています。
