学校で、
正式名称の「
高知県宿毛市愛媛県南宇和郡愛南町篠山小中学校組合立篠山小学校・
中学校」は「
日本一長い
校名」とされています。
愛南町教育委員会によりますと、
1949年に
中学校、
その3年後に
小学校ができた
この学校には、
多い
時で
小中学校それぞれ120人以上が
通っていました。
According to the Ainan Town Board of Education, when the junior high school was established in 1949 and the elementary school three years later, there were times when more than 120 students attended each school.

高知県側から
通っているのは

来年度以降は
愛媛県側の
子どもだけに
なる見込みです。

受けて、
学校を
運営する
組合が
協議した
結果、
今年度末で
休校、
来年度末で
閉校とすることを
決めたということです。
In response to requests from parents for a merger with another school in Ainan Town, the school management association discussed the matter and decided to suspend operations at the end of this academic year and officially close the school at the end of the next academic year.

来年度以降、
愛南町内の
小学校や
中学校にスクールバス
などで
通うということです。
Current students will commute to elementary and junior high schools in Ainan Town by school bus or other means from next year onward.
