Ive lived in this area for over 20 years, but this is the first time Ive experienced anything like this, they said.

A man in his 60s who lives near where the photo was taken said, I evacuated after being called by the fire department because of the heavy rain and thunder since last night.

Objects were flowing and hitting the bridge girder, making a loud noise, which made me feel scared, he said.

Also, the road along the river is completely covered with muddy brown water, making it impassable.

According to a man in his 40s who lives nearby and took the photo, It started raining last night and kept pouring so hard that you couldnt tell the boundary between the road and the irrigation canal, so my family and I evacuated to a nearby elementary school.

This is the first time it has rained this much, so I was really surprised, they said.

Some parts of the road are submerged due to heavy rain.

Another video taken nearby shows the condition of the waterway flowing between the house and the neighboring house, with the water turning muddy brown and its level rising.

All of the photos were taken by a man in his 70s who lives nearby. He said, When cars drive on the road in front of my house, the accumulated rainwater forms waves and water even enters part of my home, so Im worried my house might get flooded.

I have lived in this place for nearly 30 years, but this is the first time Ive experienced such heavy rain, and I feel uneasy, he said.

Also, the road in front of Kirishima City Hall is reportedly flooded.

The city is currently confirming the situation, as it has been reported that the residents of this house have evacuated to a relatives home and are safe.
