警察によりますと、8日午後6時ごろ、富士山の下山道で東京・東久留米市の会社役員、朝川和彦さんが(55)体調不良を訴えたあと、意識を失いました。
According to the police, at around 6 p.m. on the 8th, Kazuhiko Asakawa 55, a company executive from Higashikurume City, Tokyo, lost consciousness after complaining of feeling unwell on the descent trail of Mt. Fuji.
一緒にいた妻が近くの山小屋に連絡し、朝川さんは「クローラー」と呼ばれる特殊な車両で5合目まで搬送されましたが、死亡が確認されました。
My wife, who was with me, contacted a nearby mountain hut, and Mr. Asakawa was transported to the 5th station by a special vehicle called a crawler, but he was pronounced dead.
朝川さんは、8日は妻と2人で午前6時に山梨県側の富士山5合目から登山を始め、午後5時ごろに山頂に到着後、下山する途中だったということです。
Mr. Asakawa and his wife started climbing from the 5th station on the Yamanashi side of Mt. Fuji at 6 a.m. on the 8th, and after reaching the summit around 5 p.m., they were on their way down.
朝川さんに落石や滑落などによる外傷はなく、警察が死因や当時の詳しい状況を調べています。
