トランプ政権の関税措置をきっかけに、アメリカと中国は互いに100％を超える追加関税をかけあう事態となりましたが、ことし5月、双方が関税を大幅に引き下げた上で、このうち24％分については今月12日まで適用を停止するとしていました。

期限が迫る中、アメリカのホワイトハウスは11日、トランプ大統領が停止期限を90日間、延長する大統領令に署名したと発表しました。

新たな期限は11月10日となります。

また、中国側も関税措置に加え、関税以外の報復措置についても停止期限を延長すると発表し、両国は貿易問題などについての協議を続けることになりました。
