外交ルートを
通じて
韓国側に
抗議しました。
On the 15th, the Japanese government lodged a protest with South Korea through diplomatic channels, stating that a South Korean research vessel had conducted what appeared to be an unauthorized marine survey within Japanese territorial waters near Takeshima in Shimane Prefecture.

韓国の
調査船1隻が
航行しワイヤーのようなものを
海中に
投入して、
海洋調査とみられる
活動を
行っているのを
海上保安庁の
巡視船が
確認しました。
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the afternoon of the 15th, a South Korean research vessel was confirmed by a Japan Coast Guard patrol ship to be sailing within Japanese territorial waters west of Takeshima in Shimane Prefecture, deploying something like a wire into the sea and apparently conducting a maritime survey.

国際法上も
明らかに
日本固有の
領土だ」として
強く
抗議しました。
For this reason, Mr. Kanai, Director-General of the Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, called Mr. Kim Jang-hyun, Deputy Chief of Mission at the South Korean Embassy in Tokyo, and lodged a strong protest, stating, Takeshima is clearly an inherent part of Japans territory, both in light of historical facts and under international law.
