九州では、前線の影響で線状降水帯が相次いで発生し、今月8日、鹿児島県霧島市に大雨の特別警報が出され、11日には熊本県内でも7つの市と町に特別警報が発表されました。
In Kyushu, due to the influence of a weather front, a series of linear rainbands formed, and on the 8th of this month, a special heavy rain warning was issued for Kirishima City in Kagoshima Prefecture. On the 11th, a special warning was also issued for seven cities and towns in Kumamoto Prefecture.
この大雨で、これまでに7人が死亡し、県ごとの内訳は、熊本県で50代から70代の男女4人、福岡県で70代の男女2人、鹿児島県で30代の女性1人となっています。

被災した住宅も相次ぎ、床上浸水や床下浸水などの被害は熊本、鹿児島、福岡の3県であわせて4300棟余りに上り、熊本県内では、17日午後3時の時点で、8つの市と町で避難所に81人が避難しています。
Damaged houses have been reported one after another, and the number of homes affected by above-floor and below-floor flooding has exceeded 4,300 in total across the three prefectures of Kumamoto, Kagoshima, and Fukuoka. このうち熊本県上天草市では17日も、厳しい暑さのなか、被災した住宅を片づける作業が行われ、被災した人たちからは住まいの確保や生活再建に不安の声も聞かれました。

被災した各自治体はさらに被害の実態把握を進めていて、影響が長引くなか、被災した人たちの住まいの確保や生活の再建、心身のケアなど、きめ細かい支援が課題となっています。

今月11日の記録的な大雨で住宅の浸水被害が相次いだ熊本県上天草市では、17日も片づけの作業が続けられていて、被災した人たちからは暮らしの再建や住まいの確保などへの不安の声が上がっています。

熊本県では記録的な大雨で、これまでに住宅への浸水被害が10の市と10の町で3300棟を超え、このうち、上天草市では619棟で床上や床下の浸水被害がでています。

17日も、上天草市では厳しい暑さのなか被災した住宅の片づけが続いています。

このうち、松島町今泉地区の岡部義人さん(62)は、自宅が1階の床上まで浸水したため宿泊施設などで寝泊まりを続けながら片づけ作業に追われています。
Of these, Yoshito Okabe 62 from the Imaizumi area of Matsushima Town has been forced to stay in accommodations and other facilities while working to clean up, as his home was flooded above the first-floor level.
さらに経営している理髪店も1メートル以上浸水して営業ができなくなり、今後の生活をどうしていくか不安を感じているということです。
He also said that the barbershop he runs was flooded with more than one meter of water and is now unable to operate, so he is feeling anxious about how he will manage his life going forward.
岡部さんは「家具は全部だめになりました。

また同じ地区に住む田中ゆりこさん(77)も、2階建ての自宅が床上浸水しました。
Yuriko Tanaka 77, who also lives in the same area, had her two-story house flooded above floor level.
自宅は泥水が流れ込んでいて暮らすのは当面は難しいと感じていて、市内にアパートを借りて生活する予定だということです。
My house has been flooded with muddy water, so I feel that its going to be difficult to live there for the time being. I plan to rent an apartment in the city and live there instead.
田中さんは「このあたりは一帯が床上浸水したためアパートを探す人も多く、住まいの確保に苦労しました」と話していました。
Mr. Tanaka said, Since this entire area was flooded above floor level, many people were looking for apartments, and securing a place to live was difficult.
