18日、大阪・中央区の道頓堀に面した7階建てと6階建ての東西に隣り合うビルが焼けた火事では、逃げ遅れた人がいないか中を確認するなどしていた大阪市消防局の55歳の小隊長と22歳の隊員が死亡しました。

警察が遺体の状況を詳しく調べたところ、いずれも酸素が足りなくなったことによる窒息死だったとみられるということです。

また、警察は19日から現場検証を行っていますが、これまでの調べで2つのビルで合わせて287平方メートルが焼け、西側の6階建てのビルの低層階で焼け方が激しかったことがわかりました。
