The Tohoku Shinkansen made an emergency stop on the afternoon of the 24th near Kuki City in Saitama Prefecture due to a train malfunction. As a result, operations between Tokyo Station and Morioka Station were suspended for about three hours.
午後5時に全線で運転を再開しましたが、分">当分、遅れなどダイヤの乱れは続く見通しです。
We resumed operations on all lines at 5:00 p.m., but delays and other schedule disruptions are expected to continue for the time being.
JR東日本によりますと、24日午後2時10分ごろ、東京駅発盛岡駅行きの「やまびこ63号」の車両で故障が発生したため、埼玉県久喜市付近で緊急停止しました。
According to JR East, at around 2:10 p.m. on the 24th, due to a malfunction in the Yamabiko No. 63 train bound for Morioka Station from Tokyo Station, the train made an emergency stop near Kuki City in Saitama Prefecture.
その後の点検で、この車両は自力で走行ができることがわかり、午後4時前に栃木県の小山駅に移動させ、乗客およそ560人を別の列車などに乗り換えてもらう措置をとりました。
After a subsequent inspection, it was found that this train could move on its own, so before 4 p.m. it was moved to Oyama Station in Tochigi Prefecture, and about 560 passengers were transferred to other trains and so on.
これまでのところ体調不良を訴える人はいないということです。
So far, no one has reported feeling unwell.
この影響で東北新幹線は東京駅と盛岡駅の間でおよそ3時間にわたって運転を見合わせましたが、午後5時に再開しました。
Due to this, the Tohoku Shinkansen suspended operations for about three hours between Tokyo Station and Morioka Station, but service resumed at 5 p.m.
また、東北新幹線の運転見合わせに伴って、秋田新幹線の東京駅と秋田駅の間の上下線と山形新幹線の東京駅と福島駅の上下線も運転が見合わせられましたが、こちらも午後5時に再開しました。
Additionally, due to the suspension of service on the Tohoku Shinkansen, operations between Tokyo Station and Akita Station on the Akita Shinkansen both directions, as well as between Tokyo Station and Fukushima Station on the Yamagata Shinkansen both directions, were also suspended, but these services resumed at 5 p.m. as well.
JR東日本によりますと、当分、遅れなどダイヤの乱れは続くということで、最新の情報をホームページなどで確認するよう呼びかけています。
According to JR East, delays and other disruptions to the schedule are expected to continue for the time being, so they are urging people to check the latest information on their website and other sources.
