On the afternoon of the 1st, a 40-year-old woman was found lying on the street bleeding in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo.

There was a wound on the neck that appeared to have been caused by a bladed weapon. The person was transported to the hospital, but later died.

There are eyewitness reports that a man fled the scene, so the Metropolitan Police Department is searching for him on suspicion of murder.

According to the Metropolitan Police Department, shortly after 1:30 p.m. on the 1st, a 110 emergency call was made in Nozawa, Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, reporting that a woman is lying on the ground bleeding.

When the police arrived, they found a 40-year-old woman of Korean nationality lying on the street, bleeding from around her neck. She was taken to the hospital, but died about an hour and a half later.

There was reportedly a wound on the womans neck that appeared to have been caused by a bladed weapon.

In addition, there is a witness report from the scene stating that a man in his twenties or thirties wearing a black T-shirt and pants fled the area. The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating his whereabouts on suspicion of murder.

A woman in her seventies who lives near the scene said, When I left my house before 3 p.m., the road was covered in blood.

Ive lived around here for a long time, but this is the first time something like this has happened, and its scary, they said.

Also, a man in his 30s who said he was walking near the scene around 1 p.m. said, I thought this area was safe if you just go one street in from the main road, so Im really surprised.

I heard that a man is on the run, and I think its dangerous, he said.
