The Workers Party of Koreas official newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, reported on the 2nd that General Secretary Kim Jong-un departed the capital Pyongyang on a special train on the 1st, and crossed the border into China in the early hours of the 2nd, in order to attend large-scale events such as a military parade commemorating the 80th anniversary of victory over Japan in the war, to be held in Beijing, China, on the 3rd.
