5日、台風15号の接近に伴って静岡県には発達した雨雲がかかり、牧之原市と掛川市、焼津市、吉田町の4つの市と町で突風が発生しました。

各地で被害が相次ぎ、県の6日午後4時時点のまとめでは牧之原市の被害が特に大きく4人が重傷で、20人が軽いけがをしたということです。

住宅の被害も相次ぎ、牧之原市では全壊と半壊が合わせて56棟、一部損壊が316棟に上っています。

このほか静岡県では台風などの影響で停電も起きていて、7日午前6時時点で牧之原市でおよそ8390戸、吉田町でおよそ1740戸が停電しているということです。

気象台は「竜巻かどうかは結論づけることはできないが、被害分布によると突風が複数発生した可能性がある」として、被害の範囲や突風が発生した原因などを詳しく調べています。
