設置し、
代表幹事の
職を
続けることが
適切かどうか
協議を
始めました。
The Japan Association of Corporate Executives has set up a Member Ethics Review Committee on the 11th to discuss whether it is appropriate for Chairman Takeshi Niinami, who has refrained from his duties as the top executive following a police investigation into supplements, to continue in his position.
サプリメントをめぐる警察の捜査をきっかけに今月、サントリーホールディングスの会長を辞任した新浪氏は経済同友会の代表幹事を務めていて、今後については「同友会の判断に委ねたい」としてトップとしての活動を自粛しています。
Due to a police investigation related to supplements, Mr. Sina resigned as chairman of Suntory Holdings this month. He currently serves as the representative director of the Japan Association of Corporate Executives, but regarding his future, he has stated, I would like to leave the decision to the association, and is refraining from his activities as its leader.
これを受けて、経済同友会は11日午前、臨時の理事会を開き、新浪氏を対象とした「会員倫理審査会」を設置することを決めました。
In response to this, the Japan Association of Corporate Executives held an extraordinary board meeting on the morning of the 11th and decided to establish a Member Ethics Review Committee targeting Mr. Sina.
審査会は理事4人と監査役1人がメンバーで必要に応じて弁護士からも助言を受け、新浪氏が代表幹事の職を続けることが適切かどうか論点を整理するということです。
The review committee consists of four directors and one auditor as members, and receives advice from a lawyer as needed. They will organize the issues to determine whether it is appropriate for Mr. Niromi to continue serving as the chief secretary.
そのうえで、報告を受けた理事会が新浪氏の処遇を決定することにしていて、今月中をめどに結論を出したいとしています。
On top of that, the board of directors that received the report will decide how to deal with Mr. Niinami, and they aim to reach a conclusion by the end of this month.
一方、経済界と労働界、それに学識経験者が共同で提言などを行う団体「日本生産性本部」は、新浪氏が10日、理事を退任したと発表しました。
On the other hand, the Japan Productivity Center, an organization where representatives from the business community, labor unions, and academics jointly make proposals, announced that Mr. Arinami resigned as a board member on the 10th.
新浪氏本人の申し出によるものだということです。
